CASE STUDIES

The stories below illustrate our mission to improve clients' performance, productivity and profitability as they manage organizational change and growth.

Challenge: A global telecoms company was experiencing strong growth, but the proliferation of new initiatives and confusion arising from matrix reporting structures was leading to burnout and poor teamwork.
Solution: This was the perfect situation to introduce the innovative team-building board game, DreamWare™, developed by Eagle Performance of the UK, and now licensed by Woolf Consulting in the US. In a few hours, players surfaced underlying structural disconnects between local and global priorities, and between organizational and team objectives. The open communication and constructive feedback within the group coaching structure enabled them to resolve points of tension and to develop plans for more effective working practices, resulting in improved morale and teamwork.

Challenge: A Financial Services firm was about to double in size through a merger. The partners were engaged in ensuring that all financial and operational aspects of the merger were under control, but morale started to decline ahead of the merger and the firm started to drift off course.
Solution: We facilitated an offsite meeting for all members of both firms to clarify the mission of the newly enlarged company. Through a series of exercises, the participants emerged with a better understanding of their new colleagues and a clear vision of the values and guiding principles of their company. Follow-up executive coaching reinforced a renewed sense of empowerment that was translated into significantly improved performance.

Challenge: An Educational Publishing company wished to develop new products, a Global Training Company wished to understand customer purchase decisions and a non-profit Education organization wished to reposition its services.
Solution: Woolf Consulting evaluated customer feedback through customized interviews and focus groups, producing an insightful analysis that was critical to new product development and repositioning initiatives.

Challenge: A Financial Services company was seeking to build international business.
Solution: Woolf Consulting conducted cross-border market research to assess strategic marketing opportunities. The client refocused its efforts and resources, and launched a successful international market penetration strategy.
