Fredia Woolf works with executives and teams to create sustainable yet dramatic improvements in their business performance and productivity, as they manage change and growth in their organizations.
With a unique perspective that derives from an international background and extensive business experience, Fredia blends her interest in human development and learning with her expertise in business strategy and execution.
A core belief of Woolf Consulting is that organizations that value people produce better bottom line results. By customizing each assignment to the client's particular situation and fostering collaboration, communication and creativity, Fredia's processes encourage people to express their unique talents and perspective to contribute to the well-being of the organization.
Whether designing and facilitating a single retreat, an extended strategic planning process or a multi-executive coaching engagement, Fredia enables clients to clarify their strategic priorities and improve their effectiveness at execution. Her problem-solving approach combines the disciplines of formal analysis and clear, unbiased research with creative, innovative ideas. Eschewing established consulting models, she offers her clients a blend of analytical consulting, facilitation and coaching services to reframe issues, synthesize multiple perspectives and create unique business solutions.
Fredia's corporate experience in sales, marketing and consulting roles includes positions as Vice President of Equity Sales at Merrill Lynch Europe and, prior to that, five years as a senior consultant in London, UK, advising some of the largest British companies on their shareholder communication strategies. Since founding Woolf Consulting in 1997, she has worked with clients in financial and professional services, education and health care, publishing and technology.
Fredia was educated at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she received a BA (Honors) degree with majors in French, English and Philosophy. She received post-graduate teaching diplomas from the University of South Africa and the Royal Society of Arts in England, as well as becoming a certified Registered Representative of the London Stock Exchange. In 2001, she received her MBA (with Highest Honors) from Simmons School of Management in Boston, where she won the award for top student in all Organizational Behavior courses.
An active member of the community, she has served as a councilor of the Underwood Elementary School, a board member of the New Art Center in Newton, a finance tutor for MBA students, an advisor to the Boston Facilitators' Roundtable, and is a founder member of the Leadership Council, a peer mentoring group for women business leaders.
